What will be the Napoleon of the future?
More and more Yonnais arise legitimately question.
After the mayor's hesitation about the possibility of amending the original proposal submitted by Alexander Chemetoff (see Journal Country Yonnais of 4/11/2010), the first meeting of the Monitoring Committee was held last December 17. She has produced timid opening a discussion on some points.
Relays Neighbourhoods welcome this awareness. It reflects the recognition of our approach and work for two months by citizens of different districts, who have truly own the future of their city.
With over 1,300 responses to our questionnaires, streets, places Napoleon at Les Halles market place or during the Christmas Market, and on this blog that has allowed in five weeks more than 4800 visitors your neighborhood have been relay specific actors in this development opportunity.
Several points are now under discussion:
- striking mini-wind turbines,
- maintaining the sound booth current location

- the removal of two basins in central axis close Foch / Joffre (right and left sides of the statue of Napoleon),
- and finally the reduction of two narrow basins in central axis Clemenceau / De Gaulle (in front of and behind the statue),

Relays Neighbourhoods however you take to share their regret not seeing the partner as many consultations with Yonnais Monitoring Committee.
The neighborhood councils and councils of Elders are represented by the number of 19, traders are only 5 (which voiced their questions and proposals ), but the inhabitants only 10 inhabitants and none associated with this development, however, extremely important from the heart of town
This deficiency can result as alterations of trade depriving a large part of the population, residents or users of the possibility expressed directly in a monitoring committee now truncated.
But nothing has so far been finally act, and many other questions remain open , as we we made the echo here a few weeks ago .
It is indeed paradoxical to argue that this renovation was a priority, and that implementation will be crucial for the survival of downtown, while claiming that the cost will be minimal!
5 million € uros is nevertheless a significant amount, especially in periods where insecurity and weak purchasing power affects all segments of the population.
The field investigation that continues to make your relay Neighborhoods helped to highlight the doubts and expectations Yonnais and users, and especially with regard to the desirability of this project.
